Deep in South Charlotte a road known as Providence Road used to be one of the main arteries of the city. Some of the finest neighborhoods we have to offer are found along this winding road, and most are named for it in some variety.

Providence Plantation is one of the most varied of these neighborhoods, with homes priced from $300k to over a million, and everything in between. Providence Spring Elementary is the finest grade school in the state. Crestdale Middle School is in the top 20 NC schools, and Providence High School is in the top 10. It doesn't get much better than that! Many folks decide to move to this area purely to have their children in these fine schools.

Amenities include a community pool, tennis courts, and many family oriented activities to entertain the children. Another unusual item of note about the homes in Providence Plantation is that each section has a "themed" street name and even names for the homes themselves. Streets named for characters out of Margaret Mitchell's "Gone with the Wind" or King Arthur's "Camelot" create a neighborhood feeling of history, mystery, and warmth that is not often found today.
